ZENA–HLYNYANY ART STUDIO — a sanctuary of creative spirit, founded in 2021 in Hlyniany by Prof. Zenovia Shulha and Dr. Maria Fleychuk . Our roots reach back to centuries-old Ukrainian and Polish weaving traditions, established in Galicia as far back as the XIX century, where a unique legacy was born over 150 years. Each carpet is a masterpiece, handwoven from delicate wool that breathes stories of history and modernity. The art of carpets is a magical dance of threads and colors, where each pattern weaves a tale of culture, coming alive in elegant strokes. Our works are like exquisite paintings that bring warmth and inspiration, adorning the homes of art enthusiasts around the world.

Weaving Revival

In the serene corner of Hlyniany, where ancient traditions whisper, ZENA HLYNYANY-ART-STUDIO was born in 2021. Dr. Maria Fleychuk and Prof. Zenovia Shulha, inspired by the centuries-old weaving heritage dating back to the 19th century in Galicia, resolved to revive a forgotten art. During the Austro-Hungarian era, Hlyniany thrived as a weaving hub, but over time, the craft faded. Their dream—to resurrect this magic—came alive through the hands of local artisans, reweaving the threads of history with modern design. Each kilim became a symbol of Ukrainian and Polish cultural unity, coming to life in warm hues and intricate patterns.
